I couldn’t have known you would do this. So much mushroom dust on the
mantlepiece. So many razorbacks in the dustbin. I enjoyed the patio furniture, but
everything else was disgusting.
A tiny window of children’s knickers teased at my own curious past and I
wondered why the tree trunk was scarred.
Surely, from this vantage, you can see you were wrong.
And Little Gregory wasn’t guilty as charged, but guilty nonetheless. Like all of us.
Whence comes the galaxy we actually live in.
You’d be one sorry slicker if you never knew you goosed the chicken.
It wasn’t very old and I wanted it to visit our luncheon.
We were sharing. We were expectant.
