A Successful Businessman Takes Up Needlepoint
I don’t know who I’m telling this to but I’m screaming the words are babies I want to
step on them I want to hate my mother adequately because one of my neighbors is
trimming his lawn and his smile is killing me I have to eat it I have to digest clippings at
night because his wife saves daily obituaries of Kentucky blue grass tennis muscles
gleaming brown I’d have to try to love her because I think I should want to and she wants
to be able to say yesno just in time for the weather to drive me crazy with excuses this is
America I don’t have to go hungry it has to be this easy we have to be able to do
something with our hands.
