• Submit up to 5 previously unpublished poems. Poems that have been previously published online (blogs included) or in print will not be considered. Please do not send them.
• Feel free to include a short commentary about each poem that would possibly be published along with your poem. Include a brief third-person bio.
• Simultaneous submissions are fine, though we ask you let us know if a poem has been accepted elsewhere.
• Poems can be in English or Spanish or any language. If you are submitting a poem in anything other than English, please include an English translation of the work.
• Also, we like (could this be love?) Ohio! So if you were born or currently live in Ohio, let us know! And if you are not from the land that is round on the sides and high in the middle do not fret. Your submission will be treated with the same respect and care.
• Send your poems to submissions@silencedpress.com and have your subject line read “poetry submission.” Please send each poem as an individual MS Word attachment, with your contact information at the top of each page.

Payment: You have the option to pay a submission fee of $3, in which case you will be compensated $15 per published piece. Submissions without a submission fee will be considered for publication but not for payment.
